Sharvit Hagar, mezzo-soprano
Hagar Sharvit, mezzo soprano, was born in Israel. Her repertoire includes the title role in La Cenerentola (Rossini), Hansel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), the title role in The Adventures of Pinocchio (Dove), Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Suzuki in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Smeton in Anna Bolena (Donizetti), Ottavio in L’incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi), Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten), Zenobia in Radamisto, Dejanira in Hercules, Amastre in Xerxes, Irene in Theodora (Handel), Valencienne in Die lustige Witwe (Lehar) and other roles. She has won many prizes in international singing competitions. She was a member of the Salzburg Festival Young Artists Program and of the Dusseldorf Opera’s Opera Studio. She performs in the opera houses Bregenz, Bon, Metz, Budapest, Lyon, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Aix-en-Provence, Salzburg, Oldenburg and others.
