The Israeli Opera and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra present the best works in the liturgical repertoire. Local and international conductors, soloists and choirs join the orchestra to perform popular and beloved repertoire.

This season we will present a variegated program ranging from Bach, Haydn and Handel through Brahms and Faure to Leonard Bernstein.

Liturgical church music (Bach’s Magnificat and the Faure Requiem), one of the most beloved oratorios in the repertoire (Handel’s Messiah), a mass by Haydn, Brahms’ German Requiem and two of the more exciting works by Leonard Bernstein, commemorating the 100th anniversary of his birth – the Chichester Psalms and the Jeremiah Symphony.
