The Eifman Ballet, the beloved dance company from St. Petersburg, returns to Israel for the 17th time with a new work, “Crime and Punishment,” based on the famous book by Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky. While remaining true to artistic values, Eifman does not create a movement translation of the story, but uses all of his unique tools of expression, which he has developed over decades of creation, to offer his answers to the most important questions that deal with the inner nature of humanity.

Yoni Rechter, one of the most important and respected musicians in Hebrew music, the man of melodies, and the Revolution Orchestra put the words of the poets who inspired the melodies at the center of the stage. Concerto for percussion and orchestra by John Corigliano, a contemporary American, which emphasizes the role of percussion. Both Beethovenian pieces in the concerto have a strong rhythmic energy and a sense of forward movement. The timpani are instrumental in this energy and also reinforce dramatic and tragic moments of conflict in both pieces.
