The location
The Mishkan for the Performing Arts is located in the heart of the most vibrant and accessible cultural complex in central Tel Aviv. The Mishkan houses three of Israel’s leading cultural institutions side by side: the Israeli Opera, the Cameri Theater, and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
The architectural design
The renowned architect Yaakov Rechter, late, was responsible for the stunning exterior design of the Mishkan for the Performing Arts. Today, the Mishkan building is considered one of the most beautiful, interesting, and prestigious buildings in Israel.
Interior design
Ron Arad, one of the world’s best interior designers, transformed the interior space of the Mishkan into a true artistic experience. The combination of colors, the play of light, and the special furniture create perfect harmony.
The portico
The impressive portico of the Opera House is suitable for various types of experiential events, performances and conferences, for up to 1000 people.
The magnificent portico of the opera house is particularly suitable for holding exhibitions and art performances.
Advertising and sales
As part of the general framework that the Israeli Opera provides to hosted productions, we offer advertising your event on the website and in the newsletter distributed to the opera’s clients, and if necessary, also ticketing and sales services.
expansion
The outdoor plaza of the Mishkan for the Performing Arts, located under the open sky, is spacious, pleasant and intimate. The plaza is close to King Saul Boulevard but hidden from view. Events and receptions can be held there in coordination with the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality and subject to obtaining a special license.
parking
Guests of the Mishkan have access to a well-maintained, paid indoor parking lot with space for 1,000 vehicles.
The Opera House’s large hall can host performances, conferences, ceremonies, and more, for audiences ranging from 900 to 1,644 people. The Opera House hosts huge productions from all over the world and invites you to come and host performances of all kinds: dance, musicals, children’s plays, music performances, and more.
The Opera House hall has 930-1644 seats. The “basic” hall has 930 seats and the gallery has 562.
It is possible to add 2 rows (62 seats) or 5 rows (148 seats) at the front of the hall in place of the orchestra pit.
∗ The opera house is wheelchair accessible. The seats are located in the galleries in a designated area, allowing access from the ground floor to the designated spot via elevator, without having to go up or down stairs. The number of seats is limited.
The Opera House provides you with the most sophisticated and largest event and performance stage in the country, which will be used to produce various and varied events. In addition, a variety of technical aids and equipment will be available to you as detailed in the “Technical Specifications” document.
Our stage, lighting, and sound professionals, some of the best in the field, will be at your disposal.
