Children's Opera Hour season 25/26

What is the magic of the flute? Who are Hänsel and Gretel? Can anyone sing an opera? Discover the enchanting world of opera with our new family season, where audiences enjoy beloved stories through live music and captivating storytelling in Hebrew.  A Perfect opportunity for families experiencing opera for the first time!
Performances feature singers from the Meitar Opera Studio, accompanied by piano, and in colorful costumes.

∗ The performances are intended for ages 3-8 and take place in the Opera House’s foyer with the children sitting on carpets and the adults around them on chairs.
∗ Dear parents, please avoid coming with young babies who might disrupt the performance. All ages require a ticket.

Inspired by the characters, stories, and sounds of Mozart

The Magic Flute

Papageno the bird hunter sets out in search of Princess Pamina to Sarastro's kingdom. Along the way, he meets the Queen of the Night and her three mysterious assistants, and even finds love. Mozart's beloved opera in a colorful and entertaining version and a special arrangement for children in Hebrew - translated by Ehud Manor.

A bored princess demands excitement and refuses to settle for less. With help from his vibrant opera friends, they set off on a playful musical journey filled with song, costumes, props – and lots of laughter.

The Grumpy Diva – Dressing the Character

The show is about to begin – but the leading soloist is nervous, confused… and most of all? She has no idea what to wear! Together with her absent-minded assistant, the children will step behind the scenes to help her choose a costume, wig, and accessories  and even join in a cheerful vocal warm-up before she’s ready to go on stage.
