In the upcoming season, you can experience two short operas full of passion, jealousy, and burning desire in one evening: “Cavaleria Rusticana” by Pietro Mascani and “Alco” by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
One is well-known and very popular, the other will be performed here in Israel for the first time, both beautiful and imaginative: Lola cheats on Alfeo in Mascani’s chilling Sicilian drama, while the gypsy Zemfira cheats on her husband Elko in Rachmaninoff’s gripping opera. And how does Elko take it? David Zeba and Yunus Pasco David Zeba and Yunus Pasco reveal to us a moment of operatic flair from this beautiful and heart-wrenching opera.
