was born in Austria. He has performed the role of Baron Ochs in noumerous opera houses around the world, among which are the opera houses of Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, London, Munich, Paris, Vienna and Zurich. His opera repertoire comprises of over 80 roles in German, Italian, French, Russian, and Czech, includes all the major Verdi, Wagner and R. Strauss roles, among them are Osmin in Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Mozart), Rocco in Fidelio (Beethoven) and Hagen in Götterdämerung (Wagner). He is an honorary member of the Vienna Staatsoper, and has made guest appearances at all the world’s most famous opera houses. At the Israeli Opera he has performed Sparafucile in Rigoletto (Verdi) and Baron Ochs in Rosenkavalier (Strauss).
