Pyant Paul, lighting designer

Paul Pyant, lighting designer, is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Between 1974-87 he was mainly associated with Glyndebourne Opera. His opera credits include Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky) for the Metropolitan Opera, Stiffelio (Verdi) for La Scala, Fedora (Giordano) for the Vienna Staatsoper and Salome (R. Strauss) for English National Opera. His numerous theater credits include Richard III for the Royal Shakespeare Company. For the Israeli Opera he has designed the lighting for Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck), Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and Rigoletto (Verdi).
