Nioradze Mzia, mezzo-soprano

Mzia Nioradze was born in Georgia. Her reprtoire includes Elena and Mavra in War and Peace (Prkofiev), Amneris in Aida, Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Eboli in Don Carlo, Azucena in Il trovatore (Verdi), the title role in Carmen (Bizet), Dalila in Samson et Dalila (Saint-Saens), Adalgisa in Norma (Bellini), Fricka in Der ring des Nibelungen (Wagner), Konchakovna in Prince Igor (Borodin), Jezibaba in Rusalka (Dvorak) and many other roles. She performs at the Metropolitan Opera n New York, the Mariinsky in St. Petersburg and the opera houses of San Francisco, Lyon, Santiago de Chile, Nice, Miami, Parma, Dallas, Bologna, Modena, Houston and others.
