Mottadelli Marcello, conductor

Marcello Mottadelli, conductor, was born in Italy. He was Kappelmeister in Bern where he conducted numerous performances including Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Il trovatore (Verdi) as well as various ballets and musicals. His operatic repertoire also includes Nabucco, Un ballo in maschera, Rigoletto, Don Carlo, Aida (Verdi), Turandot, Manon Lescaut (Puccini), Carmen (Bizet), Tosca (Puccini), Der Freischütz (Weber), L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti) and many other operas. He conducts opera companies and orchestras all over the world including in Denmark, the Ukraine, Italy, Egypt, Poland, Slovakia, Korea and other countries. From 2008-2009 Mottadelli has been the principal conductor of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
