Monowid Jan Jakub, counter tenor

Jan Jakub Monowid, counter tenor, was born in Poland. His repertoire includes Tolomeo in Giulio Cesare in Egitto, Goffredo in Rinaldo (Handel), Ottone in L’incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi), Pompeo in Farnace (Vivaldi), Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Ramiro in La finta giardiniera, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart) as well as many roles in contemporary operas including Inferno and Chronicles of Loneliness (Ronchetti). He performs in the opera houses of Warsaw, Wroclaw, Frankfurt, Koln, Krakow, Lodz, Ostrava and others.
