Denis Makarov was born in Russia. His repertoire includes Bertrand in Iolanta (Tchaikovsky), Polkan in The Golden Cockerel (Rimsky-Korsakov), Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Colline in La boheme (Puccini), the Old Servant in The Demon (Rubinstein) and other roles including Gremin in Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and Dosifey in Khovanshchina (Mussorgsky). He performed in Italy, the USA, South Korea and Latvia.
