Was born in Switzerland. He has designed lighting for many theatre, opera and ballet productions. Among his designs for opera are Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Shostakovitch), Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), I Puritani (Bellini), Nabucco (Verdi) and others. He has worked in the Maggio Musicale in Florence, the opera houses of Hamburg, Nantes and others.
