Hila Baggio , soprano, was born in Israel. She was a member of the Israeli Opera’s Meitar Opera Studio and has since performed many roles in the Israeli opera and has appeared as a soloist with most orchestras in the country. She performed Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), Giappo/Venus in The Great Tomb (Ligeti), and Musetta in La Bohème (Puccini) at the Dresden Opera, Presquita in Carmen (Bizet) at the Palermo Opera, Oscar in Un ballo maschera (Verdi) in Nancy, Luxembourg, Nantes and Verne, Giulia in La Scala della Silken (Rossini) at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, the title role in The Little Cunning Vixen (Janacek) in Bergen, Olympia in The Tales of Hoffmann (Offenbach) in Mecklenburg, Pierrot the Sleepwalker (Schoenberg) at the Berlin Chamber Music Festival and more. She has performed as a soloist in concerts with the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra in Parma, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Valencia Orchestra, the Mexican Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and more. She has won numerous awards and scholarships, including the Rosenblum Prize, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships, the Besser, Grabow Scholarships, and more.
