Silvia Aymonino, costume designer, was born in Italy. For many years, she worked as an assistant to numerous Italian costume designers, most notably Hugo de Ana. She has designed costumes for opera productions at many opera houses in Italy and abroad, including the Rome Opera House. Among the productions for which she designed costumes: Turandot (Puccini), L’Italiana in Algeri  (Rossini), Simon Boccanegra (Verdi), The Magic Flute (Mozart), The Consul (Menotti), Candide (Bernstein), and others. She has also designed costumes for numerous theatre productions at various theatres throughout Italy, as well as for various variety shows and for film and television productions.
