Mariusz Trelinski, director, was born in Poland. He is the artistic director of the Polish National Opera since 2008. His numerous productions include Powder Her Face (Ades), Die fliegende Hollander, Tristan and Isolde (Wagner), Otello, La traviata, La forza del destino (Verdi), Iolanta, Yevgeny Onegin, (Tchaikovsky), Duke Bluebeard’s Castle (Bartok), King Roger (Szymanowski), Andrea Chenier (Giordano), Halka (Moniuszko), Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), Salome (R. Strauss), Don Giovanni (Mozart), The Fiery Angel (Prokofiev), Turandot, La boheme (Puccini), Die tote Stadt (Korngold) and many others. He directed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the opera houses of Warsaw, Brussels, Copenhagen, St. Petersburg, Florence, Aix-en-Provence, Brussels, Baden-Baden, Beijing, Washington, Valencia and others. At the Israeli Opera he directed Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky), Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck) and Madama Butterfly (Puccini).
