Young Israeli tenor David Goldberg made his German debut in 2023 as Adresy in Król Roger (Szymanowski) at Theater Kiel. He sang his debut as Rodolfo in La Bohème (Puccini) with the Lyric Opera Festival Jerusalem in 2021 and his debut as Cavaradossi in Tosca (Puccini), conducted by Paolo Spadaro, at the same festival in 2022. In spring 2024 he appeared as cover for Calaf in Turandot (Puccini) at Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, Estonia. He participated in a Puccini Gala concert at Opéra de Nice in 2024. In summer 2025, he performed the role of Edmondo in Manon Lescaut (Puccini) and Remendado in Carmen (Bizet) at the Immling Festival in Bavaria. David has appeared as a soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Haifa Symphony Orchestra and Ashdod Chamber Opera Orchestra.
David Goldberg completed a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in 2020. His teachers were Viviana Goldental, Geoffrey Francis and currently Christian Benedict. In 2020 and again in 2022 he received the Excellence Scholarship for Classical Singing from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. He won first place at the Corsica Lirica Competition 2022 and the Jerusalem International Opera Competition 2022.
