Heike Scheele, born in Germany, has created many set and costume designs for international theatres and opera houses. Among her works: Giulio Cesare in Oslo, Carmen in Graz, Lulu in Copenhagen and at the Semperoper Dresden, Salome for the Easter Festival in Salzburg, Rusalka in Brussels, Graz and Dresden, Die Fledermaus at Teatro alla Scala, Milano, Un ballo in maschera in Munich and Faust at Palau de les Arts in Valencia. In 2013, Scheele received the Austrian Music Theatre Award for Carmen and in 2016 she was nominated for the International Opera Award for Design. This is her first work for the Israeli Opera
