Akhmedova Angelina, Soprano

Turkish soprano Angelina Akhmedova, hailing from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, studied at the Atkins Young Artists Program at Mariinsky Theatre since 2017. She received Fourth Prize at XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition, First Prize at II International Rachmaninoff Vocal Competition, Fourth Prize at XVIII International Vocal Competition ‘Bella Voce’, First Prize at V All Uzbekistan N. Akhmedova Competition of Opera Singers and Third Prize at Uzbek Republican Festival of Young Opera Singers.

Her roles have included Mimi in La bohème, Liu in Turandot, Violetta in La traviata, the title role in Iolanta, Marfa in The Tsar’s Bride, Antonia in Les Contes d’Hofmann, Norina in Don Pasquale, Musetta in La bohème, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Nannetta in Falstaff, the title role in Servilia, Freia in Das Rheingold, Louisa in Betrothal in a Monastery and Zerlina in Don Giovanni. She has performed at Mariinsky Theatre, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, Opera Nacional de Chile, St. Paul’s Chapel New York, Herkulessaal Hall München, International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival and Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.
