Nicolas Courjal, bass, was born in France. His repertoire includes Narbal in Les Troyens, Mephistopheles in La Damnation de Fast (Berlioz), Gessler in Guillaume Tell (Rossini), Mephistopheles in Faust (Gounod), King Mark in Tristan und Isolde (Wagner), Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra, Philippe II in Don Carlo (Verdi), Bertram in Robert le Diable (Meyerbeer) and others. He performs in the opera houses of Orange, Paris, Venice, Macerata, Seville, Tokyo, Geneva, Lausanne, Monte Carlo, Moscow and others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
