Alan Woodrow was born in Canada. His repertoire includes Sergei in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Shostakovich), Florestan in Fidelio (Beethoven), Bacchus in Ariadne auf Naxos, Herod in Salome, Aegisth in Elektra, the title role in Guntram, the Emperor in Die Frau ohne Schatten (R. Strauss), Siegmund in Die Wlakure, Siegfried in Siegfried and in Gotterdamerung, Tristan in Tristan und Isolde, the title role in Tannhauser and in Rienzi (Wagner), Don Jose in Carmen (Bizet), the Prince in Rusalka (Dvorak) and many others. He performs at La Scala and the opera houses of Paris, Frankfurt, Treiste, Toulouse, Palermo, Catania, Liege, Seattle, Los Angeles, Toronto, Washigton, English National Opera, Basel, Bern, Munich, San Diego, Tokyo, Madrid, Berlin, Barcelona, Naples, Florence and many others.
