Roman Ulybin was born in Russia. His repertoire includes Saltan in The Tale of Tsar Saltan, Dodon in The Golden Cockerel (Rimsky-Korsakov), Farlaf in Ruslan and Ludmilla (Glinka), Gremin in Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Gudal in The Demon (Rubinstein), Don Alfonso in Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Mefistofele in Faust (Gounod), Dulcamara in L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti), Don Basillo and Doctor Bartolo in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini) and others.
