Berckovitch Itay, Conductor

Itay Berckovitch, Orchestral and Choral Conductor, was born in Israel. He graduated in conducting from Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and computer science from Tel Aviv University. He won the Gary Bertini Award, as well as a scholarship for young conductors under the aegis of the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports and outstanding-student scholarships from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music. He is the conductor of the Israeli Opera Choir and Assistant Conductor of productions with the Israeli Opera. In addition, he is assistant conductor with the Tel-Aviv Collegium Singers. He was the music director and conductor of The Madrigal Singers, Tiv’on Israeli Chamber Choir and Vocalisa Women’s Choir. He was a co-founder of Common Ground Voices international choir and was one of its leaders. He was a staff member at the international opera course IMVAJ 2019. He Conducted and cooperated with most of the orchestras in Israel including The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, The Israel Chamber Orchestra, The Haifa Symphony Orchestra, The Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, Barrocada and others.
