Polak Avshalom, director, designer and choreographer

Born in Haifa. Graduated from the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio. Played at the Habima Theater, Haifa Theater, Gesher Theater and the Cameri Theater. Played in the plays Orphans, The Miser, The American Princess, Romeo and Juliet and more. Played in the film Gentile and the television series Florentine . Worked in film productions in the US and England. In 1994, he created the show Chance of 100 in collaboration with Yossi Pollak and Inbal Pinto. In 1999, he created the show Oyster with Inbal Pinto, which was a success in Israel and internationally. In 2002, he created the show Bobbies with Inbal Pinto. In 2004, together with Inbal Pinto, he created the choreography, direction, set and costume design for the opera Aramid at the Wiesbaden Opera House, Germany. At the end of 2004, together with Inbal Pinto, he created the show What’s Good in the Moon, which was staged as part of the “Raising the Curtain” festival at the Susan Dellal Center. In 2006, together with Inbal Pinto, he created the show Shaker .
