Born in Italy. He served as the house conductor of the Finnish National Opera. Opera productions he conducted include Falstaff , Luisa Müller (Verdi), Hansel and Gretel (Humperdink), Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), The Flying Dutchman (Wagner), Manon Lescaut , The Girl from the Wild West (Puccini), Othello , The Turk in Italy (Rossini), The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), Orpheus in Saul (Offenbach) and Carmen (Bizet) at the opera houses of Vienna, Berlin, St. Petersburg, Bern and several opera houses in Finland.
