Moran Choir

The Moran Choir was founded in 1986 in Moshav Beit Yitzhak in Emek Hefer, by Naomi Paran. Over the years of its activity, the choir has achieved exceptional musical and educational achievements and professional recognition. The choir has won gold medals in competitions, participated in international festivals, performed with leading orchestras and performed original works by the best composers in Israel. One of the choir’s main goals is to instill a culture of singing in the Israeli public in general and the younger generation in particular. Over the years, the Moran Choir has expanded to four ensembles of different ages. The four choirs combine excellence in singing with diverse activities for the community, together with children and youth at risk, with youth with special needs, children with cancer at Schneider Hospital and girls of the Ethiopian community. The choir has performed at the Israeli Opera in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Brittany), Carmen (Bizet), Tosca, Turandot (Puccini) and Wotzke (Berg).
