Rotem Nir, born in Israel, is the conductor in residence of the Israeli Opera and assistant to the music director of the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra. He has conducted some of Israel’s leading orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra, the The Israel Camerata Jerusalem, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Ra’anana Symphonette Orchestra, and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra. In Europe, he has conducted the Georgisches Kammerorchester Ingolstadt, the orchestra of Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the orchestra of Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, and Cameristi della Scala, and has worked as an assistant conductor at the Salzburg Festival, with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, and at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples.
