An interactive opera show for children, inspired by the moving fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
In a duck’s nest, a strange little chick hatches into the world, full of joy and anticipation. When he is repeatedly rejected, a magical songbird encourages him to embark on a special journey where he discovers his true identity.
In the spring, when he meets a flock of swans, he discovers that he is not a duckling at all – but a beautiful swan.
The show combines classical music by Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, Handel, Offenbach, Saint-Saëns and Donizetti, opera singing accompanied by piano, colorful costumes and a design full of magic.
Children are invited to join the duckling’s journey, answering fascinating questions on topics such as accepting differences, dealing with rejection, and personal empowerment. Through the story, they will discover the power of uniqueness, friendship, and courage.
The show lasts 45 minutes, is intended for children in kindergarten through second grade, and takes place in a comfortable and child-friendly environment: in the classroom, in the library, in the school auditorium, or in the local concert hall.
