“If there’s a dream I’ve been carrying around with me for years, it’s the dream of hearing the songs I composed alone in my room, wrapped in the thick magical layer of orchestral arrangements, retold, reborn. The fact that I can fulfill this dream with a close friend like Shlomi by my side, who happens to also be a musician I admire, makes the experience several times more special.”
In sweeping arrangements and rich musical interplay between warmth and cold, between ice and fire, the performance will pass through significant stations in Rona’s extensive body of work, starting from “Cassius” from the Yonah Wallach song project she participated in at age 17, through her beloved songs from her solo albums.
The performance will be staged as part of the new season of the “Reflections” series by the Jerusalem Israeli Camerata Orchestra, with arrangements by Yevgeny Levitas and Avner Klemer, conducted by Avner Biron and under the artistic direction of Shlomi Shaban.
