George Virban is a lyrical tenor and regular guest of the Romanian National Opera and the Bucharest Operetta Theatre. From 2019 to summer 2021 he was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. During the 2023/24 season he was a member of the ensemble of the Aalto Theater in Essen, where he performed Ferrando in Così fan tutte (Mozart) and Valentino in Fausto (Bertin). He has performed at the National Opera Cluj-Napoca, Berlin Konzerthaus, Opéra de Avignon, Harbin Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall and Aalto Theater Essen. In July 2024 he won 2nd prize at the first Sumi Jo International Singing Competition at Château de La Ferté-Imbault in France.
