Philosoph Dika, soprano

Dika Philosoph was born in Romania and immigrated to Israel. She began studying voice in Bucharest and she performed in concerts and recitals all over her native land. During her studies she performed Musetta in La boheme (Puccini) and the Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart). Her repertoire also includes Liu in Turandot (Puccini), Micaela in Carmen (Bizet) and Antonia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach). Dika Philosoph was a member of the Israeli Opera’s Opera Studio where her repertoire included Pamina in die Zauberflote (Mozart), Gretel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Kupava in The Snow Maiden (Rimsky-Korsakov) and the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart). She performed the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart) in the Opera Studio production with the Israel Sinfonietta Beersheva.
