Giovanna Buzzi, costume designer, was born in Italy. She designed many productions for theatre and opera companies in her native land and abroad. She began working with Luca Ronconi and Pier Luigi Pizzi and these days works with Federico Tiezzi. Her opera credits include The Legend of Tsar Saltan (Rimsky-Korsakov) at La Scala, Riccardo e Zoraide, Moise et Pharaon and Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini) at Pesaro and others. She has received many important awards for her work. This is her Israeli Opera debut.
