Tamara Navoth , mezzo-soprano, was born in Israel. She is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Her operatic repertoire includes the title role in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Ennio in La Clemenza di Tito (Mozart), Hansel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdink), Mercedes in Carmen (Bizet), the title role in L’enfant et les sortileges (Ravel), the title role in Callisto (Cavalli), and more. She has won scholarships from the Leon Nacht, Eli Leon, the Ronen Foundation, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Israeli Institute for Operatic Arts, and the Mickey Ofrat Foundation. She has performed as a soloist with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, the Barrocada Orchestra, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, the Upper Galilee Orchestra, and at various music festivals throughout the country. She was a member of the Israeli Opera’s Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire included Diana/Juba as Diana in Callisto (Cavalli), a girl in The Liberation of Rogerro from the Island of Alcina (Francesca Caccini), and more.
