Magdalena Musial, costume designer, was born in Poland. She studied in Graz and in Hamburg. She has worked in the Deutsches Teater Berlin, Schauspiel Leipzig and Theater Bremen with set designer A. Schmiegel. Now she designs mainly for opera and theatre companies in Poland and in Germany. Among the many plays she designed are Fedra, Tartuffe, Romeo and Juliet, Elektra and the operas Aleko (Rachmaninoff), Iolanta (Tchaikovsky) and Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky). This is her first work for the Israeli Opera.
