Marom Itai, video designer

Itai Marom , video designer. Director, cinematographer and video artist. Born in Israel and lives and creates in Tel Aviv and Berlin. A graduate of the “Sam Spiegel” Film School, where he specialized in cinematography. Since graduating, he has shot many films – full-length feature films, documentaries, music videos and commercials. Among the feature films he has shot – Cinema Sabaya (winner of the 2022 Ophir Prize) directed by Orit Fox, The Day After I Left (Berlin Festival 2019) directed by Nimrod Eldar, The Mountain (Venice Festival 2015) directed by Yael Kayim, for which he won the Film Critics Forum Award for Artistic Achievement. In the documentary field, he has worked with major directors such as Nurit Aviv, Ran Tal, Michal Aviad, Netali Brown and more. His video works have been presented in various solo and group exhibitions. The video work Dogs was purchased by the Tel Aviv Museum and was exhibited there in the exhibition Dogs of Ashmoret alongside Michal Neeman’s paintings. The film Resonance (2019), his first documentary feature as a director, won the DEFA Award at the 2019 Doc Leipzig Festival, an Honorable Mention at the 2019 DocAviv Festival, and was shown at the 2020 Doc Fortnight Festival at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and more. Observation Diary (2023), his second film, participated in the Israeli competition of the DocAviv Festival and won the Cinematography Award. This is his first work at the Israeli Opera.
