Andreas Gruter is Head of Lighting at the Cologne Opera. He graduated from the Bavarian Theatre Academy and has worked as a freelance lighting designer at many theatres and opera houses, including the Bavarian State Theatre, the Marseille Opera, the Wels State Opera and the Vienna Volksoper. His works include The Meistersinger of Nuremberg at the Bayreuth Festival, Moshe and Aaron and Electra at the Vienna State Opera, Les Huguenots at the Opéra Bastille in Paris, Simon Boccanegra at the Salzburg Festival and Freihaus at the Hamburg State Opera.
This is his first work in the Israeli Opera.
