Asher Fish , conductor, was born in Israel. He was the music director of the Israeli Opera from 1998 to 2008 and currently serves as the principal conductor and artistic advisor of the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra. His vast operatic repertoire includes The Ring of the Nibelung , Tristan und Isolde , Tannhäuser , Lohengrin , Parsifal , The Flying Dutchman (Wagner), Werther (Messena), La Bohème , Manon Lescaut , Turandot (Puccini), The Tales of Hoffmann (Offenbach), Rosenkavalier , Arabella , Capriccio (R. Strauss), Carmen (Bizet), Othello , The Force of Destiny , Falstaff , Un ballo masquerade (Verdi), Andrea sicca , Fedora (Giordano), Fidelio (Beethoven), Adriana Lecuberre (Chile) and more. He regularly conducts at the opera houses of Munich, Vienna, Bologna, Naples, Turin, Dresden, Madrid, Tokyo and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. He also conducts many symphony orchestras all over the world. At the Israeli Opera, he conducted many productions, including Electra , Ariadne on Naxos (R. Strauss), Wozzeck (Berg), Journey to the End of the Millennium (Berdanashvili), Norma (Bellini), Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Samson and Delilah (Saint-Saëns), Attila , Don Carlo (Verdi), Rusalka (Dvořák), Trittico (Puccini), and more.
