Chilean designer German Droghetti has worked worldwide in opera, ballet, theater and television and has served as a professor at the University of Chile. He has collaborated with important opera houses such as the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the New National Theatre in Tokyo, the Washington National Opera and theaters in Germany. At the Deutsche Oper Berlin he designed The Marriage of Figaro with Michael Hempe. Droghetti has worked with directors such as Paolo Montersolo, Igor Polville and Antonello Madao-Diaz. At the Cologne Opera, he created sets and costumes for La Bohème and The Magic Flute , both directed by Michael Hempe. Droghetti died suddenly in 2020, at the age of 62.
