Chevalier Nicole, Soprano

Nicole Chevalier debuted Salome in a new production by Evgeny Titov at the Komische Oper Berlin, capping a decade-long ascent through Europe’s most adventurous houses. As an ensemble member of the Komische Oper Berlin she sang roles ranging from Handel to Reimann and won Germany’s Der Faust Award for her portrayal of all four heroines in Barrie Kosky’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann. Her international breakthrough came soon after at the Salzburg Festival as Elettra in Mozart’s Idomeneo with Teodor Currentzis and Peter Sellars, followed by debuts at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Royal Opera House, Staatsoper Berlin, and Teatro Real Madrid in leading roles by Wagner, Verdi, and Mozart.
