Butusova Maria, Costume Designer

Maria Butusova is a theatre designer, born in Moscow. She graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School and began her professional career at the Maly Theatre, later expanding her experience both in Russia and internationally. As a set and costume designer, she has led the visual development of more than 20 productions, including The Marriage of Figaro by P.A. Beaumarchais (2025), The Ideal Husband by O. Wilde (2024), The Glass Menagerie by T. Williams (2023), Salome by O. Wilde (2022), and The Life and Opinions of the Tomcat Murr by E.T.A. Hoffmann (2022). Since 2022, she has been working with the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, first as a stage manager and assistant director.
