Daniele Abbado, director, was born in Italy. He works extensively in all leading international opera houses including La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna Staatsoper and the opera houses of Barcelona, Florence, Madrid, Venice, Parma, Rome and others. His numerous productions include Nabucco, Don Carlo, Macbeth, Rigoletto, Il trovatore (Verdi), The Rape of Lucretia (Britten), Pelleas et Melisande (Debussy), Madama Butterfly, Turandot (Puccini), Il prigioniero (Dallapicola) and others.
