Opera Talkback
The Israeli Opera invites the audience to stay after some of the performances of each production and
meet members of the cast for a short Q&A session at the upper foyer. This is your opportunity to ask
questions about the production or any other opera related topic. The dates of the opera talkbacks are
published in advance.
Lectures and Back Stage Tours Before the Curtain Ascends
If you are interested to learn more about the evening's performance, the Israeli Opera invites all patrons
to attend a free 30 minute lecture (in Hebrew) which takes place one hour before the curtain rises in each
opera performance. In addition, there are half an hour back stage tours, 90 minutes before the curtain
rises in selected dates of every production, allowing the audience to witness hands-on preparations
before the show. Tour tickets should be ordered in advance.
Towards Opening
On the Saturday morning preceding each Israeli Opera première, members of the creative team
discuss the opera and the production, while members of the cast present musical excerpts from the new
production.
Open Air Opera
The Israeli Opera park performances have become a long awaited annual summer tradition. Tel Aviv
Mayor Ron Huldai supports the initiative which attracts every summer close to 85,000 spectators to
the park where they have enjoyed through the years
Nabucco, Samson et Dalila, L'elisir d'amore, La
traviata, Die Zauberflöte, Rigoletto, Verdi Requiem
and other operas.
Watching opera in the open air
creates a memorable experience and leaves the audience with an everlasting gripping impression.
