    Gorelik Wolf, conductor

    Was born in Russia. He has been music director and conductor of many orchestras and opera houses in his native land. His wide operatic repertoire includes Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky), Boris Godunov, Khovanschina (Mussorgsky), The Tsar’s Bride (Rimsky-Korsakov), Aida, Rigoletto (Verdi), Tosca, La boheme (Puccini), Les Pecheurs des Perles (Bizet), La Gioconda (Ponchielli), Ernani (Verdi), L’elisir d’amore, Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Carmen (Bizet), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Cosi fan tutte, Don Giovanni (Mozart), The Demon (Rubinstein), Daphne (Di Gagliano), Kupriyanov and Natasha (Kallosh), Madama Butterfly (Puccini), La traviata (Verdi) and many other productions. He conducted the world premiere of The Passenger (M. Weinberg).  He was the music director of the GITIS Opera Studio and is the music director of the East Ukrainian New Symphony Orchestra in Kharkov. He has also conducted many ballet productions including Spartacus (Khachaturian) and La fille mal gardee (Herold). Since 1993 he has been the conductor and music director of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theater.
