    Niv Hoffman, revival director, was born in Israel. He completed his BA in music composition at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University and participated in the English National Theatre program for young directors and Robert Wilson’s Watermill program. Between 2001-2011 he has worked as an assistant director at the Israeli Opera, the Vienna Staatsoper, La Scala in Milan and the opera houses of Antwerp, Oviedo, Rome, Moscow, Palermo, Glyndebourne and others with directors such as Franco Zeffirelli, David Pountney, Mariam Clement and others. He received the AICF scholarships. As a director he staged projects for the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, The Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Beer Sheva Sinfonietta, the Israeli Vocal Arts Institute, the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and others. Recently he directed Mozart Pasticcio for the second stage of the Dresden Opera and The Rape of Lucretia (Britten) in Tianjin, China. At the Israeli Opera he directed among others many productions for the Meitar Opera Studio as well as many Children Opera Hour productions.
