Lecca Marie-Jeanne, costume designer
Marie-Jeanne Lecca, costume designer, was born in Romania. She designed costumes and sets for Falstaff (Verdi), Pelleas et Melisande (Debussy) at the English National Opera and Carmen (Bizet) in Seattle. She has designed costumes for many opera productions in opera houses around the world including Die Soldaten (Zimmermann), The Greek Passion (Martinu), Wozzeck (Berg) and Der Ring des Nibelungen (Wagner) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Julietta (Martinu), Der Zwerg (Zemlinsky) and Die sieben Todsünden (Weill) for Opera North, Moses und Aron (Schoenberg) and Katya Kabanova (Janacek) for the Bavarian Staatsoper in Munich, Maskerade (Nielsen) and West Side Story (Bernstein) for the Bregenz Festival, Turandot (Puccini) for the Salzburg Festival, Peter Grimes (Britten) and Macbeth (Verdi) for the Zurich Opera, Rienzi (Wagner) for the Vienna Staatsoper and many other productions.
