    Raviv Revital, soprano

    Revital Raviv was born in Israel. She graduated from the Royal College of Music in London and from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Her operatic appearances include Eurydice in L’Orfeo (Monteverdi) in Jonathan Miller/Philip Pickett’s acclaimed production with the New London Consort which toured the UK, Europe, Mexico, China and Israel, Drusilla and Virtue, L’Incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi) for Il Corpo Cantante and Marco Ozbic, Damon in Acis and Galatea (Handel) conducted by Laurence Cummings, the title role in The Happy Prince (Gil Shohat) and other roles. On the concert platform she sang with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Bach’s Wedding Cantata with Andrew Parrott and the title role in Esther (Handel) for Halle Handel Festival. She also performed with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, Tel Aviv Soloist Ensemble and others. Her joint CD with the London Lieder Theater Company, Engel Lund’s book of Folk Songs, released on Nimbus records was highly praised by Gramophone Magazine. She received scholarships from the American Israel Cultural Foundation and the IVAI . Revital Raviv was an affiliated singer of the Israeli Opera's Opera Studio where her repertoire included Zerlina in  Don Giovanni (Mozart) and Eurydice in Orfeo ed Eurydice (Gluck). She also participated in numerous Israeli Opera concerts.
