    Meitar Choir Rehovot conducted by Michal Okon is the leading choir of Rehovot and operates within the local conservatory. The choir was founded in 1977 by the late Yehudi Chen and its members are children aged 10-18. Its preparatory choir is for children aged 8-10. The choir performs a wide repertoire from ancient music to contemporary music both in a cappella concerts and in concerts with orchestras. The choir performs on major stages in Israel and abroad. The choir performed an recorded music by Moshe Rasiuk, Haim Alexander, Ruben Seroussi, Meir Mindel, Moshe Zorman, Gila Gilboa and other composers who wrote works for the choir. The choir performed in concerts with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, the Rehovot Classica Orchestra, the Rehovot Big Band and others. This is the choir’s first performance in an Israeli Opera production.
