Yehezkel Lazarov, director set designer and choreographer, was born in Israel. He is a creator and multidisciplinary performer – director, playwright, set, movement and video designer, a curator and an educator. He was a member of the Air Force Entertainment Troup and a dancer in the Bathsheva Dance Company. Today he is the director of the Performing Arts School in the Kibbutzim College. In all the plays that he directs he also designs the set, movement and video. Among the many plays he created for Gesher and other theatre companies are On Every Round Hour, Lolita Jean D’arc, Fathers and Sons, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Alice, The Citruses’ Blossom, Snow, A Beach Without a Lifeguard and others. As an actor he performed in many plays at the Gesher and Cameri theatre companies including in Three Penny Opera, The Marriage of Figaro, The Slave, City, Village, Yentel and others. Recently he performed Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof during a three-year Broadway tour in the USA. He performed leading roles in many television series including Aviram Katz, Florentine, Barefoot and in many films including Waltz with Bashir, Forbidden Love, The Debt, Three Mothers and others.
