Alessandro Carletti, lighting designer, was born in Italy. He has designed lighting for many productions including Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Luisa Miller, Un ballo in maschera, Don Carlo, Rigoletto (Verdi), Il viaggio a Reims, Guillaume Tell, La Cenerentola, La donna del lago (Rossini), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Die Zauberflote (Mozart), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten), Don Pasquale (Donizetti), Beatrice et Benedict (Berlioz), Semele, Alcina (Handel), Jenufa (Janacek), Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck), Candide, Mass (Bernstein) and others. He has worked at La Scala in Milan, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the opera houses of Naples, Amsterdam, Venice, Pesaro, Rome, Paris, Salzburg, Lyon, Berlin, Glyndebourne, Brussels, Dresden and others.
