Seery Colm, choreographer
Seery Colm, choreographer
Colm Seery, choreographer, was born in Ireland. He is a dancer and a choreographer and has danced with Irish Ballet and with the Vienna Festival Ballet. He was a founding member of Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre and performed with the English Bach Festival. He has created the choreography for Gloriana (Britten) in Madrid, Idomeneo (Mozart) in Berlin and Don Giovanni (Mozart) and Anthony and Cleopatra (Adams) in San Francisco. He was associate choreographer for Les Troyens (Berlioz), Andrea Chenier (Giordano), Die Entfhurung aus dem Serail (Mozart) and Orlando (Handel) in the opera houses of Lille, Paris, Glyndebourne, Beijing, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and others. He revived chorography for many opera productions including La traviata (Verdi), Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Handel), Die Meistersinger von Nuremberg (Wagner), Manon (Massenet) and others at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and in the opera houses of Geneva, Barcelona, Dallas, Buenos Aires, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera and others. As a dancer he performed with many opera companies including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera Ireland, Glyndebourne, Garsington and many others.
